Our company is looking for a Vice President For Academic Affairs to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Complete other assignments as directed by supervisor/President;
- Promote and maintain College and TBR Mission, Vision, and Values;
- Follow professional code of conduct and ethics; maintain professional dress in compliance with expectations of the position;
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusive excellence;
- Utilize effective people skills in working with internal and external customers;
- Promote and comply with Northeast State Community College SAFE Campus programs;
- Seek efficiencies and continuous improvement in both position and personal growth;
- Comply with Northeast State Community College and Tennessee Board of Regents policies, procedures, and guidelines;
- Comply with local, state, and federal guidelines and laws;
- Manage budgets and operation of office; develop and implement budget and strategic planning for the office;
- Lead/promote College and TBR initiatives as they relate to this office.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge and efficiency in budget planning and management;
- Demonstrated understanding of statewide systems of higher education and the philosophy of a public open-access comprehensive community college;
- May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen;
- Leadership Experience A minimum of five years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in academic affairs;
- A minimum of five years of experience as a full-time faculty member in a higher education setting;
- May require numerous evenings and/or weekends;
- Experience in assisting local community agencies and business/industry in economic and community development;
- Doctorate from an accredited institution at time of appointment;
- Will be required to travel or be assigned to all MCCCD locations;
- Travel to campus during interview/selection process will be at candidate’s own expense;
- Seven years progressively responsible administrative experience within an academic unit or executive experience in higher education;
- An earned doctorate from an accredited institution;
- Five years supervisory experience.
