The Vice President of Marketing directs and works with marketing management team to form business plans and strategies to accomplish corporate objectives. Manages and directs marketing policies, objectives, and programs for all products and services for the organization. Being a Vice President of Marketing typically it is a single incumbent position. Our company is looking for a Vice President of Marketing to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a key player on the executive team, assisting with high-level company strategy;
  • Lead the cross-organizational planning and coordination required to position the Company and its product and service offerings;
  • Ensure brand strategies and operational activities meet prevailing external and internal regulations, ethical standards and policies;
  • Establish metrics and track program effectiveness and ROI;
  • Participate with Business Development activities as appropriate;
  • Oversee and manage creative agencies. Manage and approve expenditures within budget guidelines;
  • Has managed groups of at least 10-20 people, and revenue of $100M;
  • Experience in medical device capital equipment, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in the cardiac catheterization lab;
  • Experience in digital marketing best practices is desirable;
  • Natural, intuitive grasp of marketing fundamentals;
  • Passion and enthusiasm to develop deep understanding of customer needs;
  • Grow the company brand through PR, analyst relations, social and content marketing;
  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with the business unit organizations to align efforts;
  • Be a Player/Coach, providing hands-on leadership to build and motivate a top-performing team;
  • Accountable for driving brand equity, generating sales leads and meet or exceed profitability goals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience in marketing, sales, market research (financial, statistical analysis and/or quantitative a plus);
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally;
  • Versatility and desire to work in highly dynamic startup environment;
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization required;
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from 4-year College or University;
  • BA or BS required (MBA degree strongly preferred);
  • MBA strongly preferred;
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree. An MBA is preferred, but not required;
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time;
  • Ten or more years of marketing experience, including at least five years at the Senior Director or VP level;
  • Strong leadership skills, including vision-setting, coaching, team building, empowerment and cross-functional leadership;
  • Minimum 8 years experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a marketing leadership role;
  • Business and financial acumen combined with analytical skills;
  • Experience marketing for a brand where a significant portion of revenue is generated by selling the product.
