Vice President of Operations Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Vice President of Operations to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Measure the effectiveness of internal and external operational processes;
- Coordinate divisional support needs with human resources, accounting and support services departments;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Review contracts in conjunction with risk management;
- Ensure safe working environment;
- Collaborate with multiple groups and be at the fore front of the tech developments in Company;
- Operational focus on revenue per truck and total miles, reducing empty miles, and working tractor plan;
- Ability to lead people, get results, coach and develop employees;
- Working with executive leadership to execute on short- and long-term strategy;
- Build an open and honest communication line with franchisees and their organizations, with the Company and its organization and employees of the NDCP;
- Develop and own the processes and tech components of our QA program;
- Represent company with suppliers, partners, and other third parties as appropriate;
- Collaborate in planning and implementing new technology or enhancements to existing technology;
- Knowledge of human resource management practices;
- Ensure diverse and engaged workforce.
Requirements:
- Strategic thinker with financial acumen to grow the business while maintaining and retaining current business;
- Proficiency with Microsoft office products and be able to operate and maintain site specific security programs;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing, dynamic environment;
- Knowledge of company budget and monthly performance reporting (DVR) proficiency;
- Knowledge of sales, operations, and/or underwriting management;
- Knowledge of applicable state statutes;
- Knowledge of all Associa operating systems and programs preferred;
- A distribution leader in food and packaging commodities that may include methods used and supporting toolsets both in transportation and warehousing;
- A track record of delivering results in a high growth startup environment;
