Our company is looking for a Vice President of Programs to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach, supervise and retain high-performance team members and create a supportive environment of continuous learning and development;
  • Collaborate with communications staff to identify and report on Trust learnings and grant/initiative impacts;
  • Guide development and continuous improvement of Piper Trust grantee programs (e.g., Piper Academies, capacity building programs);
  • Manage, monitor, and report on the Trust’s community partnerships and initiatives, and design/implement initiatives as needed;
  • Build long-term, cross-sector relationships that help sustain or expand impacts of Piper Trust grantees or initiatives;
  • Keep abreast of trends in philanthropy, changes in areas of interest to the Trust, program advancements, and state-of-the-art practices;
  • Identify and utilize advisors as needed to provide expertise and technical guidance on the Trust’s programming and strategic learning work;
  • Leverage key grant/project outcomes for maximum community and organizational impact;
  • Provide strategic, inspirational support to grantees that encourages reflection about their goals and work.

Requirements:

  • Commitment to the philosophy of person-centered services;
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required;
  • 5-7 years work experience at a management level overseeing program operations and a demonstrated ability in developing and leading new initiatives;
  • Ability to think strategically, manage multiple priorities and problem solve;
  • At least 2 years working for a nonprofit organization; social service experience preferred;
  • Strong supervisory and coaching experience in leading and motivating team members;
  • Excellent customer service skills and a customer-service orientation;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
