The Vice President of Sales develops the sales plan to fulfill the growth and revenue goals of the organization. Plans and directs all aspects of an organization’s sales policies, objectives, and initiatives. Being a Vice President of Sales manages all aspects of the sales function including inside sales, outside sales and customer service teams. Responsible for ensuring maximum sales volume of an organization’s products and/or services. In addition, Vice President of Sales requires a bachelor’s degree. Typically reports to top management. The Vice President of Sales manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Our company is looking for a Vice President of Sales to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a great, confident, transparent communicator for the company;
  • Create a culture of accountability and help teams focus on executing to KPIs;
  • Be a business partner to Ted Zagat to ensure cross-functional alignment;
  • Responsible for day-to-day management of MDU sales operations;
  • Effectively use market data and competitive intelligence as a tool to inform sales and negotiations;
  • Monthly P&L review;
  • Establish testing methodology to insure continual improvement of all metrics across the lead generation function;
  • Day to day management of sales team ensuring sales revenue numbers are achieved;
  • Travel to meet with prospective clients and to industry conferences (travel expectation is up to 50% per month);
  • Work in conjunction with organizational marketing and account management efforts;
  • Provide guidance, coaching and counseling to team members;
  • Assist in developing and establishing departmental standards and procedures;
  • Complete assigned management reports as needed;
  • Sell 4 trials in first six months in the position, sell 10 trials in first 12 months;
  • Introduce our organization to the appropriate targets.

Requirements:

  • Sales (required);
  • Ability to lead/manage others;
  • General knowledge of basic software programs such as MS Office and CRM database systems;
  • Proficient in using Salesforce, Google Suite, Salesloft, LinkedIn, and other databases;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Sales & Marketing, or similar;
  • Previous experience building and managing sales teams;
  • Excellent oral (including call control) and written communication skills;
  • Proven track record of succeeding in a goal-driven environment;
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes and technology; proactively work to improve internal processes as necessary;
