Our company is looking for a Vice President to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage students outside of class during regularly-scheduled office hours;
  • Participate in commencement ceremonies in May and December;
  • Abide by all University policies;
  • Provide academic advising to approximately twenty students per year;
  • Fulfill assigned departmental duties;
  • Participate in business planning activities, to include weekly staff meetings, pipeline reviews, CO&E workshops, and opportunity reviews;
  • Developing powerfully effective communications and end deliverables that lead to action;
  • Foster strategic thinking within the team and consistently drive the team toward the highest possible caliber deliverables;
  • Train, teach, guide and develop future leaders;
  • Providing leadership and supervisor to team members that recognize and assist in maximizing each individual’s, as well as the group’s, potential;
  • Advance understanding and implementation of the Leidos Win Plan and gather and share issues with and ideas for;
  • Meeting or exceeding budget revenue and profitability targets and Owner’s Expectations;
  • Integrate with creative, social, content and entertainment teams to activate programs;
  • Provide strategic and tactical direction regarding various business systems;
  • Develop strategies for national consumer media – primarily food/products, services and compelling trend stories during cultural moments.

Requirements:

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, budget management and business skills;
  • Strong presentation skills;
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills;
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills;
  • Additional training in business development, program development, personnel management and financial management;
  • 10+ years of experience in communications;
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic computer skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience at a corporate communications, public relations or public affairs agency or comparable in-house position;
  • Ability to type 30 wpm and to efficiently and accurately use the computer to carry out job responsibilities;
  • Ability to execute integrated social media programs with national consumer media outreach;
  • Insatiable curiosity for uncovering new, relevant and effective approaches to consumer brand marketing and public relations;
  • Outstanding writer with passion for journalism, copywriting, message architecture and compelling storytelling;
  • Understanding of product integration, media partnerships and sponsorship opportunities;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information and ideas through a variety of media.
