VP of Development Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a VP of Development to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Create donor materials and oversee communications to prospective and current donors;
- Manage grant proposals and requirements, working with the finance liaison to develop budgets and reports;
- Supervise VL’s fundraising events, including playing a major role in our 15-year anniversary celebrations;
- Coordinate and participate in visits between the President and major donors and prospects;
- Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the President and Managing Director;
- o Site plan and design development;
- o Project planning and estimating;
- Coordinate with marketing to create marketing materials for project development;
- Coordinate with regional construction team through project construction phase. Report on construction progress through project completion;
- o Proforma creation and approvals;
- o Manage Bid & Award process;
- o Manage entitlement, procurement and municipal process, including attending municipal meetings;
- Provide direction on assigned redevelopment related tasks, including but not limited to the following;
- o Lease exhibit preparation/review/negotiation;
- o Manage financial and feasibility analyses.
Requirements:
- Existing relationships with corporations/foundations;
- Ability to be intuitive and forward thinking; creative problem solver;
- Consistent record of juggling multiple tasks;
- Be a strong self-starter who is highly organized;
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Strong writing and communication skills;
- Demonstrated commitment to and awareness of Latino civil rights and/or issues of social justice;
- Working knowledge of JD Edwards, MS Project and E-builder experience a plus;
- Proven track record in the entitlements process;
- Effective leadership skills;
- Proven track record of consultant management;
- MUST have experience managing the entitlement process;
- Established relationships with national retailers;
- Knowledge of CAD/pdf/photo shop or similar platforms a plus;
- Site plan and project design skill set.
