Our company is looking for a VP of Sales to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage proposals;
  • Hire, train, motivate and direct additional sales professionals as agreed to by the President and VP Human Resources;
  • Travel frequently to prospects, trade shows, partners, and clients;
  • Manage innovative sales strategies to leverage current company capabilities. and new CP Foods’ expertise in current and new channels;
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive notes in Salesforce CRM system;
  • Effectively use market data and competitive intelligence as a tool to inform sales and negotiations;
  • Prepare monthly report on accomplishments toward achieving company goals;
  • Develop and generate reporting to track all key sales metrics for the organization in conjunction with Head of Sales Ops;
  • Sales strategy, systems, training and processes;
  • Accurately forecast weekly, monthly and quarterly sales projections;
  • Operational Planning;
  • Serves as the organization’s SME on all aspects of Salesforce strategy, technology and process and is the direct manager of a small Salesforce team;
  • C-level engagements and product demonstrations;
  • Opportunity management and sales strategy execution;
  • Partner with the leadership team on strategic forecasting and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of ten years in an aggressive, entrepreneurial sales environment;
  • Excellent multi-level account penetration skills and a genuine tenacity to keep a busy 3-4 days/week travel schedule with 4-5 customer visits/week;
  • Strong written, verbal and analytical and strategic problem-solving skills;
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent;
  • Executive-level verbal and written communication skills;
  • Does not need to be based at our office in Connecticut;
  • Minimum 12 years prior relevant sales experience; preferably in financial services/ideally the FinTech industry;
  • Have a proven track record of success in a similar sales leadership role at a Saas, Marketplace, or Advertising company;

  • Supply chain/logistics background ideally in sales of freight management solutions;
