Associate Technical Writer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Associate Technical Writer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Become familiar with single-sourcing methodologies and authoring tools including Madcap Flare, WalkMe, and Mindtouch;
- Test documentation to ensure it meets our users’ needs;
- Participate in meetings regarding software development, testing, and documentation deliverables;
- Become familiar with Accertify’s products to the point that you are comfortable communicating changes to those impacted;
- Interview SMEs to learn the intricacies of our Platform and incorporate their feedback through the review process.
Requirements:
- Excellent organizational skills, including diplomacy and patience;
- Interest in authoring software tools such as MadCap Flare, WalkMe, Mindtouch, Adobe Captivate, TechSmith Camtasia;
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment;
- Professional technical writing experience is a plus but not required;
- MA/MS degree w/1-2+ years of related experience;
- Must be able to work independently on a day-to-day basis;
- Bachelors Degree in English, Communications, Journalism or Computer Science Preferred;
- Strong written and oral communication skills; solid interpersonal skills a must;
- BA/BS degree w/4-7+ years of related experience.
