Our company is looking for a content editor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to overall development and implementation of the firm’s digital marketing strategy and operation;
  • Introduce ideas for sourcing new—and leveraging existing—content and suggest novel channels for delivering said content to target audiences;
  • Understand and implement a consistent firm voice across communications, bringing a reliable tone to all external-facing firm materials;
  • Execute compelling submissions that garner important third-party recognitions for the firm and its lawyers;
  • Performs document control, end of production cycle completeness and accuracy tasks as assigned;
  • Identifies source materials for product coverage based on criteria and allocated budget;
  • Researches, reviews and monitors a variety of sources including print, electronic, websites and individual contacts;
  • Performs administrative tasks as needed to organize and track records;
  • Actively participates in departmental meetings and discussions.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment;
  • Ability to maintain focus while performing repetitive tasks;
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Business Hours, Contract-To-Hire;
  • Knowledge of audio editing programs such as Pro Tools and Adobe Audition;
  • Excellent grammar, punctuation and writing skills, and an ability to express ideas clearly and logically;
  • Ability to maintain and develop good business relationships;
  • Basic colour correction skills desired;
  • Capacity to learn and master new technology and knowledge of new research environments;
  • Ability to interact effectively with outside contacts by telephone, in person and all forms of written communication;
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Strong Adobe Premier and Photoshop skills;
  • Knowledge and experience backing up digital media and managing digital file content systems;
  • Creative thinker.
