The Senior Editor ensures that all documents meet required and accepted format and content standards. Reviews, edits, and re-writes a variety of documents. Being a Senior Editor may coordinate with production team to produce final drafts. Evaluates content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. In addition, Senior Editor requires a bachelor’s degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Being a Senior Editor contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Working as a Senior Editor typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience.

Our company is looking for a Senior Editor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the rest of the growth team to measure reach, impact and iterate;
  • Write in-depth long-form analytical articles on a variety of topics that are compelling to Triplebyte’s engineering community;
  • Develop editorial calendar and be responsible for end-to-end and timely execution.

Requirements:

  • Outstanding communication, writing and analytical skills;
  • 5+ years of relevant writing and editing experience;
  • Experience working with a large roster of freelance writers;
  • A proven ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment;
  • Four-year degree in Journalism, English, Communications or other relevant field or commensurate experience;
  • Working knowledge of PR and marketing are a plus;
  • On stage events presentation experience is a plus;
  • Understanding of Law Enforcement-Public Health communities, practices and interfaces is ideal;
  • Knowledge and experience in CBRN material as well as an understanding of the hazards associated with their manufacture, transport and use;
  • Attend kickoff, hotsheet, and status meetings related to assigned projects;
  • Ability to obtain high-level clearance and DHS suitability clearance;
  • Proactively manage workload, and escalate concerns relating to quality and timing as needed;
  • Develop and maintain style guides for each assigned brand;
  • Prioritize work appropriately while meeting all deadlines;
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues to enhance team dynamics.
