Technical Writer – Engineering Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Technical Writer – Engineering to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to communicate complex and technical information;
- Ability to work with configuration management team adhering to company standards and practices;
- Facilitate and participate in round table reviews with functional teams as required;
- Ensure technical accuracy and quality of technical publications in compliance with customer requirements;
- Ensure all activities are performed on time using daily management tools and teams resource tracker.
Requirements:
- Computer-aided design (CAD) experience preferred;
- Ability to interpret and comprehend technical information;
- Willingness and ability to travel (0 – 10%) of the time (domestic and international);
- Ability to work on multiple products and meet timelines;
- Minimum five years of experience in technical writing preferred;
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field required (ie: Engineering, Science, I.T.) preferred;
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office products including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio;
- Project Management experience preferred;
- Experience with requirements capture tools such as Doors or Polarian preferred;
- US Citizenship or Resident Alien status required to support government programs and projects.
