Our company is looking for a Technical Writer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, revise, modify or edit documents prepared by others;
  • Plans, Proposals and ROMs;
  • Create and maintain internal & external content for the BE platform;
  • Graphic embedment to written products;
  • Maintain high quality technical writing standards;
  • Utilize automated estimating systems to prepare repair vs replacement estimates for property damage;
  • Organize material and complete writing assignments in a timely manner with attention to detail, according to set standards;
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail;
  • Creates and manages document and report schedules in alignment with project and deliverable deadlines;
  • Provide grammar, style, and formatting recommendations to document and brief drafts provided for review;
  • Create and maintain relational database schema diagrams and documentation;
  • Works closely with members of the technical writing team to ensure uniformity in workflow and writing style;
  • Participate in all phases of creating documentation for new applications;
  • Manage project needs in terms of custom product and technical documentation;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Produces technical documentation for Cryptologic programs or projects developing analytic tradecraft methodologies;
  • Knowledge and experience in CBRN material as well as an understanding of the hazards associated with their manufacture, transport and use;
  • Ability to learn and troubleshoot new technology quickly and easily;
  • Experience writing in an XML authoring environment using tools such as AEM, XMetaL, Oxygen, and Flare;
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills;
  • Unafraid to display technical writer nerdery;
  • Bachelor degree in English or Communications or 1-2 years experience in technical writing of software documentation;
  • Must have the ability to read, interpret, and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials;
  • Position located in the Alpharetta, GA office;
  • Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced environment;
  • Experience with writing software help files;
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining operations documentation, user guides and manuals and technical publications;
  • Prefer Bachelor of Science or Arts from an accredited university or college;
  • Maintain a current internal documentation library;
  • Experience in documenting APIs.
