Our company is looking for a Accounting Internship to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity;
  • Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records;
  • Preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, invoices, and other documents;
  • Shadowing members of the firm as they perform their duties;
  • Working with bookkeeping software;
  • Respond to inquiries from client and work with client to gather necessary information for completion of required documents;
  • Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive and professional manner;
  • Learning how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients;
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities in processes to enhance efficiency;
  • Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations;
  • Collates and copy financial data as requested;
  • Creates and prepares various financial support schedules;
  • Generates financial reports in SAP or other accounting systems;
  • Performs filing as needed of various financial documents;
  • General Accounting: Completes bank and/or account reconciliations.

Requirements:

  • + GPA Preferred;
  • On track for a Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline;
  • Must be a recent graduate or actively working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting;
  • Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility;
  • Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers;
  • Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
