Our company is looking for a Accounting/Payroll Clerk to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily close procedures;
  • Assist with audits of internal records, such as workers compensation and tax withholding;
  • Support field staff with all related inquiries;
  • Process void check requests;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned;
  • Perform payroll processing operations as needed;
  • Research open checks and report unclaimed property;
  • Assist Payroll Manager with tax calculations, filing activities, and year-end reporting;
  • Cross-train as backup to other accounting functions such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable;
  • Assist in payroll and accounting transactions, reporting, stop payments and other operations;
  • Assist with external audits;
  • Compile reports, research and analyze data, and perform monthly and annual reconciliations;
  • Administer Valiant weekly schedule including: confirming and reviewing employee tours, holidays, adjustments, PTO, sick, pay rates and bill rates;
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic environment, handle multiple tasks and be able to resolve issues independently;
  • Assist with weekly and monthly client billing.

Requirements:

  • Customer service experience;
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and maintain excellent attention to detail;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics GP a plus;
  • 1-3 Years of related payroll or accounting experience;
  • Associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus;
  • Minimum 5 years private accounting experience required;
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook;
  • Previous experience with Valiant time labor management required;
  • Previous experience with a security guard provider preferred.
