Our company is looking for a Accounting Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs other related duties as assigned;
  • Maintained Vendor list, W-9 forms and generating 1099 reports;
  • Maintain a spreadsheet for reporting missing receipts;
  • Provide backup for co-technician when necessary;
  • Key department corrections into Oracle;
  • Must possess effective communication skills: face-to-face, written, telephone and electronic communications;
  • Entry of accounts payable for all branch invoicing;
  • Process employment verifications and respond to employee and vendor inquires;
  • Must be able to multi-task and work effectively to meet deadlines;
  • The incumbent will confirm sales reports, bank deposit slips, invoices, manufacturers coupons, promo, purchase and expenditure forms;
  • Manage credit accounts including past-due customers, processing credit letters & applications and setting up new customers in the system;
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of current financial system and document imaging system;
  • Reviews data prepared by the Voucher Preparation Section on a terminal screen for accuracy;
  • Audit and review HR Employee Action Forms to ensure accuracy of employee data within Oracle;
  • Review paychecks for correct tax and benefit deductions.

Requirements:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze alternative solutions and provide recommendations accordingly;
  • Willingness to maintain a Notary License for the witnessing of official documentation for ElectriCities;
  • Proven computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Matching;
  • A high school diploma or GED. Accounting coursework is a plus;
  • The ability to handle and maintain confidential information and exercise discretion.
