Our company is looking for a Accounts Payable Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer accounts payable calls and inquiries;
  • Prepare checks for mailing;
  • Ensure property invoice approval before payment is made;
  • Maintain an organized filing system;
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders;
  • Process invoices in timely manner;
  • Strong Excel skills;
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions;
  • Perform activities in line with the Service Level Agreement;
  • 3+ years working in accounts payable;
  • Issues stop-payments or purchase order amendments;
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions;
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed;
  • Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices;
  • Oversee the A/P email inbox while working closely with internal and external customers to help ensure efficient and effective response time.

Requirements:

  • Proficient with MS Word/Excel/Outlook;
  • Experience with general ledger journal enties;
  • Written – Clear, courteous, and free of errors;
  • Digital document management experience (Adobe Acrobat / Docusign);
  • Verbal – ability to articulate points clearly, deal with challenging scenarios, and ability to use discretion in sensitive matters;
  • Experience with the following is a plus;
  • Minimum two years Accounts Payable experience; preferably with a government contractor;
  • High School diploma or higher education level;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Basic understanding of core accounting principles and how financial statements relate;
  • QuickBooks;
  • Ability to use windows filing system networks;
  • Intermediate Excel capabilities (Data sorts, V-Lookups);
  • Inventory Management Systems;
  • Task Management – Ability to prioritize numerous tasks and priorities in an electronic system.
