Associate, Applications Support Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Associate, Applications Support to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provides accurate problem identification, ticket documentation and customer/vendor dialogue;
- Provides activity, progress and status reports to management and keeps management posted of any critical issues;
- Oversee small-to medium-scale projects and delivers presentations with minimal supervision;
- Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions;
- Real time application management along with nightly batch application stability;
- Work with development teams throughout the software life cycle ensuring sustainable software releases;
- Key contributor during application outages, assessing user and business impact and reporting to senior management via technical bridges.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of RDMS (like Oracle SQL);
- ITIL Foundation V3/2011 certified;
- DevOps certified;
- Hands on in bash commands and Shell scripting;
- Experience in Payment processing/Cards industry a plus;
- Hands on in awk and sed language;
- Knowledge in IPC (Inter-Process Communication);
- Knowledge in HP-Service Manager (or similar incident ticketing tools such as ServiceNow);
- C/C++ and command macros.
