Our company is looking for a Benefits Customer Service Representative to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Verifies information on forms submitted by Associates;
  • Answers questions and assists associates regarding benefits such as 401k, group insurance, life, and hospitalization;
  • Coordinates the transmission of Associate eligibility files to insurance companies;
  • May perform routine aspects of benefit accounting and reconciliation;
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned;
  • Responds to benefit inquiries from Associates and resolves in a timely manner;
  • Explains and interprets company insurance program to Associates and dependents;
  • May correspond with or telephone physicians, hospital’s TPAs, and/or Associates regarding claims;
  • Files records of claims and processes benefit cancellation.

Requirements:

  • Ability to type 30 words a minute;
  • Must have excellent attendance and be punctual to work;
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions;
  • High School degree required, Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  • Ability to work autonomously in a self-paced, self-motivated team environment;
  • High level attention to detail, multi-tasking, and ability to organize work;
  • Ability to quickly assess member concerns and formulate a response/resolution using analytical and problem solving skills.
