Our company is looking for a Culinary Supervisor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking on extra responsibilities including but not limited to sanitation, HAACP programs, ordering, etc;
  • Supervising cooks in an assigned area;
  • Must be competent in all stations and able to run an entire area;
  • Preparing and cooking products according to recipe specifications and food safety/sanitation guidelines;
  • Ability to walk and stand for up to 12 hours;
  • Understanding menu offerings and presentation;
  • Monitoring Temperature Taking/Logs;
  • Educate staff to ensure that they know, understand and follow all of the Department and Center policies and procedures;
  • Ensure cleaning assignments and temp logs are being followed accurately according CMS standards;
  • Participate in Weekly internal DPH audits alongside Jr Sous Chef;
  • Ensure adherence to all CMS guidelines in the kitchen;
  • Follow up on any open items from internal audits;
  • Train and support all staff to ensure they understand all of their job responsibilities;
  • Coordinate monthly in-service sessions with staff using the department safety/training guide;
  • Supporting Cooks/Cold Production/Baker on Meals when needed.

Requirements:

  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling;
  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching;
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed;
  • May require use of ladders;
  • Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery;
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions;
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals;
  • In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours;
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
