Director of Client Development Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Director of Client Development to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Occasionally required to stand, kneel or stoop, and lift and/or move up to 15 pounds;
- Regularly required to talk or hear and read instructions on a computer monitor and/or printed on paper;
- Regularly required to view items at an extremely close range and must be able to adjust and readjust focus;
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands or arms;
- Increase and develop client awareness and appetite for the broader range of NPD services, including Solutions, Checkout and data from other sectors;
- Maintain client information effectively using Salesforce and other tools to support the management and attainment of targets;
- Create and deliver presentations to clients, industry events or internally as required, which highlight the value of NPD Book products and data;
- Support colleagues in delivering new and more valuable solutions to clients, to drive revenue growth;
- Proactively identify, develop and deliver upsell opportunities with existing clients.
Requirements:
- Analytical skills – able to use tools such as Excel to analyze data, identify trends, draw conclusions and build a narrative from the numbers;
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to manage and prioritize multiple ongoing tasks;
- Strong sales and client management skills;
- Commercial acumen – negotiating skills, ability to apply different approaches to different clients to maximize results;
- Communication skills – strong written and verbal communication skills; able to become an authoritative voice on NPD Book’s products and data;
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience.
