Our company is looking for a Docket Clerk to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Create New and Sub-file Client/Matter profiles in CompuLaw;
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned;
  • Provide necessary follow-up to attorneys, paralegals, and assistants on items that need to be docketed;
  • Calendar documents served, filed and routed to the docketing department, including e-mail request;
  • Generate Client/Matter; Event, Timekeeper and other refined reports;
  • Search the Court’s on-line records to confirm filing dates and upcoming hearings;
  • Ability to perform duties which require considerable judgment and initiative without immediate supervision;
  • Assign and reassign timekeepers to case matter profiles in CompuLaw Vision; and update assistant assignments in CompuLaw MyView;
  • Coordinate with the Copy Center team members and Records Dept. to ensure all applicable dates are entered on the docket; as part of quality control;
  • Responds to Audit Letter Inquiries and provides requesting parties with formal reports on all pending litigation;
  • Communicate with attorneys and staff regarding issues relevant to clearing the docket, and advancing actions as needed;
  • Assist with quality assurance review for all patent docketed correspondence;
  • Identifies and recommends changes to docket policies, procedures, forms, etc. to provide better service and support to timekeepers;
  • Assist with patent file transfers and special projects as assigned;
  • Update CPi docket system daily with accurate entries and date calculations.

Requirements:

  • Assist with quality assurance review for all patent docketed correspondence;
  • Must possess attention to detail, ability to balance multiple tasks and strong time management skills;
  • Communicate with attorneys and staff regarding issues relevant to clearing the docket, and advancing actions as needed;
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of peers;
  • Update CPi docket system daily with accurate entries and date calculations;
  • Assist with patent file transfers and special projects as assigned;
  • Assist attorneys, paralegals and legal assistants with inquiries and specialized reports in a timely and efficient manner.
