Our company is looking for a Engineering Co-Op to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Solid analytical skills;
  • Interface and work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance personnel, as well as outside vendors and equipment manufacturers;
  • Involvement with data flow diagrams/technical diagrams;
  • Current Junior or Senior classification in Bachelor’s program or Master’s standing who has completed at least one previous co-op or internship;
  • Must be able to work full time during the semester (40 hours/week) for 6 months;
  • Specify and order mechanical components, electrical controls, automation components, and instrumentation devices;
  • Design mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems;
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as requested;
  • Coursework or related experience in their major field of study;
  • Create and / or update drawings in AutoCAD;
  • CAD skills, AutoCAD preferred;
  • Effective team skills;
  • Co-ops will work in a manufacturing environment to complete projects designated by their Manager;
  • Must be in good academic standing, with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA;
  • Manage small Capital projects.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment;
  • Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents;
  • M odeling and drafting of concepts into designs that can be tested;
  • Develops test designs to measure the function and quality of products and to test new ideas or modifications of existing products;
  • Provides technical expertise in support of improvements to existing product designs; authorizes product design revisions;
  • Motivated, self directed, and the ability to make risk balanced decisions;
  • Tests materials and concepts, working closely with the test lab staff to design tests and document results;
  • Conducts computer aided analysis of new concepts with FEA and/or CFD.
