Our company is looking for a Finance Intern to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting corporate financing activities;
  • Preparing annual budgets, and understanding key trends in business unit resource utilization;
  • Analyzing drivers of historical financial performance, including key trends that are impacting the business;
  • Perform other duties and cross training as assigned;
  • Facilitate root cause determination, complete accident investigations and implementation of corrective action activities;
  • Perform all job duties in a safe manner and obeys all safety policies and procedures;
  • Prepare is various moth end close procedures;
  • Assist with communicating results and findings to all sites within the Northern Bureau;
  • Create presentations for finance and board meetings;
  • Further develop performance dashboards as well as combined Northern Bureau dashboards;
  • Other projects as needed;
  • Daily Accounting functions including Accounts Payables;
  • Assist in preparing accurate, meaningful reports on an ad hoc basis for senior management;
  • Support the organization while learning about a career in finance;
  • Tax.

Requirements:

  • Good technical and project management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and daily responsibilities;
  • Stronger focus on safety than environmental;
  • Experience working at an ISO 9001 facility;
  • Obtain solutions through independent analysis;
  • Project Planning Skills;
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks is desirable but not essential;
  • Develop an understanding of how an FP&A team functions including systems, processes, and people;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access;
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Familiarity with cost accounting and the relationship to revenue recognition;
  • Detail oriented;
  • The ability to prioritize multiple assignments and to handle complex tasks in a fast-paced environment;
  • Highly organized;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and intermediate formulas (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.);
  • Improved soft and technical skills.
