Our company is looking for a Front Office Assistant to join our team.


  • Check and respond to voicemails and emails left for the office;
  • Assist with other office duties as requested or needed;
  • Responding to patient billing or financial inquiries, directing to appropriate departments, as necessary;
  • Support the front desk staff members by fulfilling patient care responsibilities;
  • Calculate fees for dental treatment;
  • Coordinate financial agreements for the patient’s financial responsibility of dental treatment;
  • Greet and check in patients in a friendly manner;
  • Assist patients with understanding and accepting their clinical diagnosis;
  • Maintain a full schedule of patients daily;
  • Enters data accurately for patient visits and fees in EMR/EHR to increase accuracy and efficiency of claims process;
  • Adheres to all money handling procedures, collecting co-pays and other patient payments;
  • Collects health plan authorization, insurance cards with picture ID’s, completes appropriate forms and obtains signatures per PPGP policy;
  • All job responsibilities will be carried out under the direction of agency policies and procedures;
  • Accepts and uses supervision, direction and consultation to maximize available resources in the completion of work duties;
  • Screens financial, medical and social history with correct documentation of patient information.


  • Ability to type 45 words per minute;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service;
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • One year prior front office or clerical experience;
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows;
  • High school graduate or GED;
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • One to three years prior, relevant work experience in a clinic or health facility preferred;
  • Weekend availability required;
  • Associate’s degree in Business, Health Care Administration or related field preferred;
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems preferred; prior working knowledge of NextGen system preferred.
