Our company is looking for a Guest Service Agent – Full Time to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Accepts and records vouchers, credit, traveler’s checks, and other forms of payment. Converts foreign currency at current posted rates;
  • Receives special requests from guests, and responds appropriately or forwards requests to appropriate team members for decisions and actions;
  • Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and to maximize room occupancy;
  • Field guest complaints, conduct research and resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction;
  • Receive, input, retrieve and relay messages to guests;
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing;
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system;
  • Considerable skill in the use of a calculator to perform moderately complex mathematical calculations without error;
  • As a condition of employment, candidate must be able to satisfy all pre-employment screenings such as criminal background checks;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability in multitasking and time-management;
  • Neat and professional appearance, a genuine Spirit of Aloha and desire to work with the public;
  • Ability to maintain a cash bank, prepare cash drops and balance all transactions with a high level of accuracy;
  • Able to proficiently operate computer systems and experience with Microsoft Office products;
  • Must be available to work overnight shift;
  • Speaks, reads and writes in the English language; bilingual ability is also strongly preferred;
  • Ability to deal effectively with internal and external customers; some of whom require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy;
  • Aptitude in resolving issues with a guest-focused orientation;
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision with a high degree of integrity.
