Our company is looking for a Housekeeping/Laundry Aide to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicates effectively with residents, staff and visitors;
  • Maintain resident rooms by cleaning restroom, walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, dusting, washing windows, removing trash, etc;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Moving and arranging furniture;
  • Folding, stacking and hanging personal clothing and linens;
  • Fill out maintenance request slips and turns them into supervisor;
  • Restock and maintain a clear stockroom and housekeeping cart;
  • Move furniture in order to dry and wet mop floors; use wet floor signs to mark wet floors;
  • Clean and polish elevator as needed;
  • Empty trash/waste into proper containers;
  • Clean the clean and soiled utility rooms;
  • Must follow HCF Policies and Procedures;
  • Terminal cleaning of resident room upon transfer, discharge, or death;
  • Keeps utility, storage areas and equipment neat and clean;
  • Returns resident personal clothing and linens to appropriate area.

Requirements:

  • History of excellent attendance;
  • A minimum of a grammar school education is essential;
  • Ability to read, write and have good visual acuity;
  • Must be a team player while being able to work independently;
  • Some Housekeeping/Laundry experience preferred;
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
  • Maintains neat, professional appearance;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Experience in a healthcare setting;
  • Must enjoy being of service to senior adults.
