Our company is looking for a Laundry Attendant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Sort all linens and treat stains;
  • Take wet, clean items and dry as directed;
  • Load all laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents;
  • Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to general manager;
  • Separate linen according to classification, fabric and color;
  • Wash and fold towels, bathmats, pillow cases, face cloths, bed pads and bedspreads and napkins;
  • Perform washing, drying, and restocking;
  • Assist with stocking of linen shelves;
  • Assist with cleaning public spaces;
  • Cleaning laundry room and equipment at end of shift;
  • Advise housekeeping supervisor when laundry chemicals are getting low;
  • Refer guest complaints to management;
  • Assist with cleaning guest rooms when need arises;
  • Sanitary items, such as mouthwash, toothbrush, combs, Q-Tips, cotton balls, shaving cream, razors, hair spray, etc;
  • Regularly walking through the locker rooms to pick up towels, trash and lost and found items.

Requirements:

  • The ability to work when exposed to vibration;
  • The ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger handle, feel objects, tools, etc;
  • The ability to speak and communicate effectively to guests and associates;
  • The ability to maintain organized log;
  • Past experience working near moving mechanical parts;
  • Detail oriented;
  • Communication Skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and follow instructions;
  • Associate must be able to sit in the same positionstand for up to 8 hours a day consecutively;
  • Associate is often required to sit and use his or her hands and fingers, to handle or feel;
  • Flexible schedule and reliable;
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision;
  • The ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 20 lbs.);
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including;
  • Associate may be required to stand, may have to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
