Our company is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Co-op to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on some of the newest innovations and equipment;
  • Generate and present design concepts, perform design reviews to team members;
  • Positions located in Louisville, KY; housing and relocation assistance available;
  • Work with your assignment leader to accomplish established objectives and goals that support the business and also offer learning opportunity;
  • Complete innovative technical assignments in a variety of product areas including refrigeration, washer systems and cooking products;
  • Coordinate with different teams and coworkers to accomplish tasks;
  • Participate on committees with peers that offer opportunities to network with the leaders of the company;
  • Assist with design and prototype activities including CAD, manufacturing, assembly, testing, debugging, and documentation for mechanical fixtures.

Requirements:

  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to engage in self-directed learning and remain productive with minimal supervision;
  • Experience with SolidWorks including creating models, assemblies, and detailed drawings;
  • Must be at least 18 years of age;
  • Must be able to work full-time during term;
  • Must possess a valid United States’ driver’s license;
  • Strong multitasking, team-collaboration and organizational skills are a plus;
  • Solid analytical skills;
  • Currently pursuing Bachelors or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to have two or more co-op rotations prior to graduation;
  • Cumulative GPA >=3.0 (out of 4.0);
  • Passion for engineering;
  • Must be interested in learning how to unite engineering know-how with real world machine performance and product attractiveness;
  • Strong interest in automotive engineering – developing the best cars & trucks on the market;
  • Related coursework.
