Our company is looking for a Medical Office Receptionist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Attends scheduled department staff and clinical meetings;
- Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records;
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and insurance information;
- Confident self-starter who can work independently as part of a team;
- Must pass a background check;
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
- Must be able to input FULL patient, family, social history on each patient;
- Seeking an experienced and professional candidate to check patients in/out, obtain insurance pre-authorizations (if needed);
- Verify and update patient demographic information;
- Collect and record patient co-pays and pre-payments on surgeries. Assist patients with credit applications;
- Medication Prior Authorization;
- Follow up on incoming patient referrals;
- Must be organized and dependable;
- Maintains work and patient areas in neat and orderly manner;
- Provide information concerning the clinic and its services.
Requirements:
- Excellent Computer Skills;
- Demonstrated skills in collaboration, teamwork, and problem-solving to achieve goals;
- Multi-Lingual (Spanish, ect.);
- Familiar with insurance plans-Acquaintance of ICD-10 and CPT billing codes-Strong spelling, reading, and mathematics skills;
- Very organized and able to multitask; detail oriented;
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills;
- Understands and follows health provider’s instructions; seeks clarification when necessary;
- Demonstrated skills in providing excellent service to customers;
- Experience using Electronic Health Record Software (EHR’s);
- Bilingual preferred;
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR);
- Orthopedic experience required;
- MRI certification experience preferred;
- 2+ years of Medical Front Office Experience;
- Experience with auto scheduling system.
