Our company is looking for a Medical Records Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor incoming/outgoing faxes;
  • Scan necessary paperwork into customer accounts;
  • Communicate with physician offices for follow up;
  • Create Prescriptions.

Requirements:

  • Multilingual a plus;
  • Proven work experience in Medical Records or other back office position;
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise;
  • High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is a plus;
  • Knowledge of healthcare related terminology a plus, specifically in the urological field;
  • Most interaction will be via telephone, so you should be easy to understand over the phone;
  • History of excellence in a fast paced environment;
  • Proficiency on the computer/internet;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers);
  • Professional attitude and appearance;
  • Knowledge of HIPAA a plus;
  • Customer service attitude;
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks;
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
