Receiving Clerk Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Receiving Clerk to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Help customers with any questions they may have. If you aren’t able to answer their question, you will direct them to another team member who can;
- Performs Operations Associate tasks;
- Assist in the quarterly and yearly physical inventory of product;
- Demonstrates commitment to the organization by maintaining regular, on site attendance, is reliable and follows through with responsibilities;
- Full-time – 40 Hours a week;
- Enter appropriate data into SAP;
- Receive and adhere to direction from supply planning for daily receiving priorities;
- Managing the flow of inventory and finished goods;
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies;
- Receiving shipments;
- Verify quantity received;
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages;
- Maintain organized and efficient work area ensuring product segregation;
- Maintain accurate records;
- Performs all responsibilities associated with cashiering, when required.
Requirements:
- Must be able to proper lift up to 50 pounds at times;
- Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures;
- Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology;
- Minimum Language: English (oral, read, and write);
- You work well in a fast-paced environment;
- You are detail-oriented and organized;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- You are process-driven and able to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way;
- Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills;
- Warehouse or inventory keeping experience preferred, but not required;
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, proportions;
- Conditioned independency (following process rules, norms and company policy) and his/her superior’s instructions;
- Ability to stand up to 12hrs;
- Become aware of the TKASA Quality Program;
- High motivation to confront challenges and changes.
