Rental Counter / Dispatch Clerk Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Rental Counter / Dispatch Clerk to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate files and log books;
- Other duties as assigned by management;
- Filing, data entry, and retrieval of documents;
- Coordinate with Sales department to ensure customer satisfaction;
- Work with service department to keep trucks maintained;
- Communicate with stores when equipment to be delivered has problems;
- Dispatch drivers throughout local area;
- Assign Field Service Technicians to field repairs;
- Process rental and purchase transactions;
- Coordinate pick-up and delivery of equipment;
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide customer support;
- Provide superior customer service, in person and over the telephone.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass drug test and background check;
- Previous cash handling and point of sale experience preferred;
- Must have a positive attitude and be able to handle changes and make quick sound decisions;
- Excellent customer service. Able to communicate and interact in a positive and professional manner;
- Prefer experience in the rental industry;
- Knowledge of DOT Laws and regulation;
- Knowledge of rental equipment;
- Must be able to operate 2 way radio;
- Computer Literacy, knowledge of word and excel;
- Must be able to multitask;
- Must be computer literate, previous experience with RentalMan a plus;
- Must be computer literate, previous experience with RentalMan and AS/400 a plus;
- Must be computer literate;
- Knowledge of DOT Laws and regulation a plus;
- Previous rental experience a plus.
