Our company is looking for a Research Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Summarize project results;
  • Prepare other articles, reports, and presentations;
  • Organizational skills and careful attention to details to satisfactorily perform job duties;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned;
  • Assist with qualitative data coding;
  • Conducting participant recruitment, screening, and obtaining informed consent. Tracking recruitment efforts in study database;
  • Ability to work occasional evening and overnight/weekends for in-laboratory and field work;
  • Recruit all participants for a given study within the time frame agreed upon with the researcher;
  • Ability to work both independently and as a cooperative team member;
  • Database entry and upkeep; liaising with University Shared Resources, billing, workflow tracking, etc;
  • Contribute to reports, briefs, memos, and technical assistance documents;
  • Bachelor’s degree (4 yr) OR Associate’s degree (2 yr) and 2 years of relevant experience OR No degree and 4 years of relevant experience;
  • Ordering of equipment and supplies, assembling equipment, making solutions;
  • Cell biology including Western blotting and Immunostaining.

Requirements:

  • CFA, MBA, or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field preferred;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: Word, Publisher & Excel;
  • Solid communication skills, verbal and written, as well as the capacity to expand, learn, and make a contribution;
  • College level course work in Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, or related field;
  • Professional and polished demeanor;
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel);
  • Participation in medical surveillance program required;
  • Personality profile to fit into high-growth, entrepreneurial culture that requires teamwork and significant interaction with employees at all levels;
  • Experience working in research setting;
  • Organizational skills and careful attention to details to satisfactorily perform job duties;
  • Experience in image and waveform-based fast feedback loops;
  • Proven experience utilizing an electronic bibliographic database such as Endnote (or comparable program);
  • At least 1.5 – 2 years of previous volunteer research experience preferred;
  • Possess the Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position;
  • Be willing to re-locate to the greater Washington DC area.
