Research Intern Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Research Intern to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Construct data sets perform quantitative analysis to support research;
- Develop mathematical and statistical algorithms;
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program;
- Prior lab experience in biological sciences is preferred;
- Good communication skills and an interest in learning;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Good numeracy, literacy and organizational skills.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of statistics, portfolio theory, investments, and finance;
- Ability to work with large data sets;
- Current Master’s or PhD student;
- Experience with quantitative modeling, equity portfolio management, and portfolio construction preferred;
- Proficiency in Excel, Python, R, CPLEX, FactSet, Bloomberg and/or statistical tools that allow for quantitative modeling and analysis;
- The ability to work on a team and to work autonomously on projects.
