Our company is looking for a Secretary to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- answering calls, taking messages and handling correspondence;
- maintaining diaries and arranging appointments;
- liaising with relevant organisations and clients;
- Maintain an organized filing system;
- Conduct internet research;
- Place orders for office equipment or business needs;
- Ability to work in a Correctional setting;
- Prepare human resources and payroll paperwork;
- Responsible for processing purchase orders, check requests, travel reimbursements and subscriptions;
- file and retrieve documents; and;
- serve as the primary typist for the Chancellor and Provost;
- Managing supply orders;
- Prepare purchase requisitions, travel vouchers, check requests, and perform other related office actives;
- Maintains the assigned Faculty’s Curriculum Vitae and Biosketch, accurately and currently, in accordance with University and NIH standards;
- Follow-up and ensuring the completion of student requests.
Requirements:
- Associates degree preferred;
- Experience delivering customer service in an office or retail environment preferred;
- Experienced in computer technology that includes excel, google docs, powerpoint, and social media marketing;
- Minimum 1-year full time secretarial or related experience;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Process mail to include retrieval, opening (as required), inspecting, distributing, and picking-up for mailroom delivery;
- Assist with the preparation of materials needed for conferences, correspondence, appointments, travel, meetings, telephone calls, etc;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Proven knowledge of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts culture, structure, policies and operating practices;
- Demonstrated strong computer/technology/typing skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SAP;
- Maintain good-standing partnership with vendors;
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive and anticipate needs;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Demonstrated ability to build influential relationships at multiple levels across the company;
- Ability to appropriately respond to and resolve issues with little direction.
