Our company is looking for a Sourcing Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Performance & risk management of site suppliers;
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, manage, and execute on category plan initiatives;
  • Participate in events for sourcing savings initiative development (e.g. Sourcing Kaizen, VA/VE tear down analysis, Supplier Innovation events, etc.);
  • Identify, develop, manage and complete local site sourcing projects;
  • Oversee competitive bid events and negotiate business terms;
  • Provide quantifiable cost and/or process efficiencies leveraging established sourcing methodology;
  • Monitor & log sourcing savings performance for completed projects in Sourcing Savings Tracker;
  • Supply Chain Support of New Product Development and localization projects;
  • Project Funnel and project management of sourcing projects by execution and development of toll gate processes;
  • Manage profitability and performance of existing products and services;
  • Work Environment- Most work is done in an office environment with occasional trips to the shop floor and suppliers’ sites;
  • Continuous improvement of supplier Quality and Delivery performance through supplier performance monitoring and development;
  • Manage marketing and sales programs with key vendors and suppliers;
  • Relationship Responsibilities- Interacts with outside vendors;
  • Participate in overall product strategy, research and development requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with four years of IT sourcing/procurement experience OR a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of experience;
  • Experience with RFQ implementation and execution;
  • Lean Six Sigma Certified;
  • An excellent team player, including the ability to effectively collaborate with key stakeholders and partners within a cross functional environment;
  • Excellent communication skills – logical and organized;
  • Good communication skills across functions and countries;
  • Strong knowledge of contractual terms & conditions;
  • Flexibility and the ability to work independently;
  • Relationship Responsibilities- Interacts with outside vendors;
  • Team player, self-driven, takes initiative;
  • Communicative, creative problem solving;
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure;
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing, materials management and LEAN principles;
