Stock Clerk locates stock and delivers items to their destination upon request. Ensures incoming deliveries are accurate and stocks supply room with new goods. Being a Stock Clerk takes inventory and identifies reorder needs for supervisor approval. Checks order forms, delivery requests, and approval forms to ensure proper documentation, accuracy, and on time deliveries. Additionally, Stock Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Stock Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.

Our company is looking for a Stock Clerk to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Use arms, hands and fingers;

  • General housekeeping duties such as keeping shelves and floors free of cardboard and trash;

  • Perform general stocking duties on a daily basis including storing and stocking products in/on bins, pallets, shelves, racks, and refrigerators;
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards (including backroom and shelves), and dispose of trash;
  • Help and assist customers in finding merchandise and providing them with information;
  • Conducting Inventories: Assists in preparing equipment for monthly inventory and counting all equipment in designated areas;
  • Receiving Orders;
  • Ensure the in-store floor pad remains clean, well-stocked & easily shop-able whilst maintaining strong relationships with employees & customers.

Requirements:

  • Ability to follow directions from the Supervisor;
  • Ability to receive feedback and implement processes for improvement;
  • Ability to Greet, Offer, & Thank all customers;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on customer and business needs;
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks without direct supervision in a timely manner;
  • Minimum of 2 years stockroom experience handling electromechanical parts and material and associated paperwork used in stock recording;
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy loads of 75 pounds in a physical environment;
  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Accuracy in counting and recoding quantities;
  • Must be able to work 100% of the time moving about in the work area;
  • High school diploma or GED strongly preferred;
  • Ability to perform work tasks while bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching;
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English;
  • Previous experience in receiving, handling, and stocking in retail or warehouse/distribution environments preferred;
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft office applications.
