Vault Teller processes, monitors, and validates coin and currency amounts in the vault according to company standards and regulations. Maintains an accurate record of all cash exchanges. Being a Vault Teller counts money and balances the vault. Receives, places, and fulfills orders from the Federal Reserve Bank and internal units to maintain required levels of cash. Additionally, Vault Teller requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Vault Teller gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. To be a Vault Teller typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Counts currency, coins and prepares event deposits;
  • Establish and maintain positive client relationships;
  • Controls and records all cash issued to point of sale cashiers;
  • Reports to Finance Sr. Accounting Manager cash needs and discrepancies of cash transactions.

Requirements:

  • Ability to constantly reach, stand, walk and stoop;
  • High School diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED);
  • One year of cash handling experience;
  • Perform work through repetitive eye/hand coordination Must be able to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends and;
  • One year of customer service experience is preferred.
