Our company is looking for a Verification Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify loan terms with new customers; answer questions, resolve issues with dealers;
  • Process new loan applications received by phone, fax or Web;
  • Process customer payments and answer routine dealer and customer questions;
  • Hours: Mon-Fri, 11:30am-8pm;
  • Conduct interviews, employment, and residence verification for loan applicants;
  • Maintain customer confidence by keeping all loan information confidential;
  • Contact employers to verify employment information (dates of employment, job titles, responsibilities, etc.);
  • Receive incoming calls from educational institutions, employers, references that provide verification information;
  • Ability to work any shift within the 8:00 am – 6:00 pm business hours based on need;
  • Contact educational institutions to verify educational information (diploma, degrees, certifications, etc.) as provided by the candidate;
  • Process an average of 85 orders daily using consistent and repeatable processes;
  • Verify loan application information by ordering credit, employment, and earnings reports; mail verification forms; and contact verification sources;
  • Utilize web-based automated systems, sort the fax server, fax and email requests;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Manage outbound calls and share responsibility of inbound calls and the voicemail messaging system.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Understanding of general computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and web applications;
  • Detail and Goal Oriented;
  • Reverse address/telephone tracking;
  • Ability to multi-task and manage daily assignments;
  • Experience with researching business information on the web;
  • Experience with working with sensitive data;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to complete assignments with minimal supervision and within established timeframes;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Accurately type 40+ words per minute;
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information;
  • Ability to multi-task (receive calls while maintaining data entry accuracy);
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Ability to interact with customers in a professional, tactful and sensitive manner;
  • Data entry.
