Warehouse Clerk Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Warehouse Clerk to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Advise warehouse supervisor of inventory discrepancies when found to be rectified immediately if and when possible;
- Print labels and prepare bin cards for products received;
- Follow all safety codes;
- Supervise other warehouse clerks;
- Carry out tasks as assigned by the warehouse supervisor / manager;
- Plan and create kits (picking and issuance, track and back-filling, etc.);
- Following procedures for counting/verifying items;
- Maintains control of all inventory items purchased from PO to consumption;
- Safely operate and maintain material handling equipment and related tools;
- The ability to cross train in multiple functions;
- Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place;
- Data entry;
- Work with vendors and freight forwarders regarding incoming inventory and outgoing shipments;
- Data Entry keeping track of manifests for truckers;
- Primary responsibility of picking, packing and shipping IT technology.
Requirements:
- Must have high school education or equivalent experience, a valid driver’s license, and be able to operate a forklift;
- Demonstrated self-starter that has shown effective use of organization and planning skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction;
- Minimum 1 year experience with UPS/Fedex software;
- Maintain an organized, clean and safe warehouse;
- Proficient using MS-Office Suite. Google Apps a plus;
- 2-5 yrs warehouse experience including managing inventory accuracy;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Basic Computer skills;
- Ability to do simple/basic warehouse math;
- English (reading, writing, verbal);
- Basic problem solving (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication);
- Inventory management software;
- Process oriented;
- Frequent manual lifting (pick up) and moving of up to 35 lbs repeatedly/routinely is required;
- 2-3 years warehouse/distribution experience.
