Warehouse Delivery Driver Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Warehouse Delivery Driver to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop daily plans with drivers and the administrative staff;
- Checking in product and rotate into inventory stock;
- Help coordinate food safety plans into daily operations;
- Perform routine pre-trip auto safety inspection prior to departure;
- Maintaining file records of company paperwork;
- Develop product knowledge and understanding of operations;
- Pick up product from local vendors;
- Drive sales rep around central valley from location to location;
- Load and unload vehicle;
- Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients and/or businesses in a professional, safe and timely manner;
- Fulfillment of Retail transfers;
- Receiving deliveries as it arrives to the warehouse;
- eCommerce order fulfillment – pick, pack & ship;
- Shifting inventory on shelves as new inventory is received;
- Processing inventory – tagging new merchandise and stocking on shelves.
Requirements:
- Ability to work Monday through Saturday;
- Basic computer and email skills;
- Comfortable working in a cold storage environment (0-50 degrees);
- Strong organization skills;
- Deadline-oriented;
- Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods;
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws;
- Ability to handle physical workload;
- At least 6 months of similar/delivery experience;
- Clean driving record and willing to participate in drug / alcohol / background screening;
- Must be able to work on feet 8 hours a day (ability to bend & stand);
- Possession of a valid California Driver’s License;
- Must be at least 25 years of age;
- Great customer service skills;
- Ability to work and deliver within specific timelines.
