Our company is looking for a Dog Groomer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Accommodating special requests that pet owners may have;
- Bathing, conditioning, and drying pets;
- Ensuring that all pets are safe during the grooming process;
- Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners’ instructions or standard grooming styles;
- Recommending suitable products to pet owners;
- Dematting and detangling hair as required;
- Routinely cleaning work areas;
- Trimming pets’ nails, brushing their teeth, and cleaning their ears;
- Identifying health issues in pets, such as ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay, and informing pet owners of these observations;
- Lead the effort to develop the policies and procedures to be followed by all DogPerfect locations;
- Launching and performing grooming services at applicable location;
- Assist in establishing the grooming service offering including pricing, customer engagement, marketing, and other strategies.
Requirements:
- Proven professional grooming experience;
- Excellent communication skills;
- The ability to treat all animals with compassion;
- High School Diploma or GED;
- The ability to lift heavy pets and equipment;
- Ability to stand for long periods of time;
- Sound understanding of animal behavior;
- Certification through the National Dog Groomer Association of America is advantageous.
