Our company is looking for a Fitness Instructor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and clean fitness area and equipment;
  • Manages schedule to meet the needs of the resident. Flexible and adaptable to changes in the department/organization;
  • Monitor vital signs: blood pressure, pulse, respiration and oxygen saturation when applicable during fitness activities;
  • Administer standardized assessments in a uniform manner;
  • Accurately capture and bill for services provided when applicable, according to company policies and procedures;
  • Educate and communicate to residents and caregivers on interventions and programs.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work, setup and execute successful weekends;
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions;
  • Possess a strong customer service focus;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. Understands basic record keeping practices;
  • Must be able to adjust and operate all Fitness Equipment;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Adult CPR & AED certification (Red Cross or American Heart Association);
  • Experience providing strength training, cardiovascular, and flexibility training principles and techniques;
  • BS in exercise science or related field. At least two years of experience in the fitness industry;
  • Ability to project and promote a healthy image;
  • Certification in specific exercise disciplines;
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation;
  • Ability to communicate to members and staff in a courteous, friendly and professional manner;
  • Prior group exercise class instruction experience in the format you hold a certification in;
  • Strong organizational skills.
