Our company is looking for a Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing schedules and routines to ensure children have enough physical activity, rest, and playtime;
  • Help keep records of student progress, interest, and other anecdotal information to keep parents informed of their child’s development and progress;
  • Demonstrate knowledge of early childhood growth and development through Developmentally Appropriate Practices;
  • Follow the Kids ‘R’ Kids Policy concerning the time a child may remain in any equipment. (NO LONGER THAN 30 MINUTES, UNLESS SLEEPING IN A CRIB);
  • Display children’s work in your classroom;
  • Be ready and willing to discuss an infant’s or toddler’s progress or any concerns a parent may express;
  • Use the telephone in your classroom if you need assistance or have questions. (NEVER LEAVE YOUR CLASS OUT OF RATIO);
  • Follow the Steps for Diapering each time you change a child’s diaper or assist with toilet training. (ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES);
  • Follow daily schedule for meal and snack time for toddlers;
  • Be knowledgeable of playground safety;
  • Greet each parent as they arrive to pick up their child;
  • Keep Franchisee, Director, or Assistant Director informed of needed structure or equipment repairs;
  • Greet each child and parent as they enter the classroom;
  • Keep decorations in your classroom up to date;
  • Children should be engaged in an activity while awaiting their parent’s arrival.

Requirements:

  • Successful Reference Check;
  • Bilingual/Multilingual language preference based on individual center needs;
  • Ability to work alongside colleagues and maintain a professional team environment;
  • Experience working center-based childcare programs;
  • A strong knowledge of child development;
  • Education;
  • A commitment to further education and training;
  • Ability to pass background and fingerprinting check;
  • Drug and Alcohol testing;
  • Up to date health certificate and TB test or willingness to obtain;
  • Reliability in attendance and punctuality;
  • Maintain certification in CPR and First Aid Training;
  • Be willing to participate in continuing education as required by the child care regulatory agency;
  • 90 hour MSDE Infant/Toddler Certification is preferred; or motivation to take the course;
  • Proven work experience in an Infant/Toddler program (preferably at least two years).
