Our company is looking for a Senior Game Designer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with all production disciplines and product management;
  • Propose, design, and document new features which improve KPIs;
  • Senior level, hands on ownership of all design tasks for live and new games;
  • Mentor and oversee tasks given to less experienced designers;
  • Surface and manage design risks from conception through the life of a project;
  • Active participation in design meetings with senior management to discuss design issues and design proposals;
  • Ensure communication and maintenance of design vision from conception through release;
  • Analyze competitor games, benchmark best practices, predict new trends;
  • Design and iterate features in live-ops and new development for multiple titles;
  • Review product management data and ensure a healthy design life cycle;
  • Create and own the implementation of fun, engaging in-game events and other game content;
  • Assess and apply qualitative and quantitative feedback to improve game engagement, monetization, and retention;
  • Create clear and complete game design documentation for game content and features;
  • Understand the player and voice the player’s emotional experience with the game, approaching game design by putting the player first.

Requirements:

  • Portfolio of released titles and your contribution;
  • Cover Letter explaining why you’d be a great fit, and how you define “fun”;
  • Resume and tools list;
  • Solid understanding of basic economy balance and tuning;
  • Experience writing clear and concise game design documentation, specs, user flows, and feature documentation;
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills; ability to identify and solve key problems creatively with minimal guidance;
  • Minimum 4 years experience in mobile game design, including at least 2 years on a game in live ops;
  • Strong knowledge of free-to-play games in general, and the brain puzzle genre specifically;
  • Unity and whitebox prototyping experience a plus;
  • Experience creating game mechanics, features, and content designed to appeal to a casual audience.
