Body Shop Painter Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Body Shop Painter to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize protective supplies as appropriate to ensure cleanliness of vehicle;
- Operate lifting and moving devices to move materials and equipment and access areas;
- Mask and cover surfaces not to be painted; removing accessories such as chrome, mirrors and windshield wipers;
- Align with all applicable company and legal requirements controlling vehicle repairs;
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge sufficient to properly and deftly complete painting assignments;
- Responsible for cleaning, sanding, and applying chemical solutions to prepare and condition surfaces prior to painting;
- Mix and thin paint or other coating to specified color and consistency according to standard formulas or color charts.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record;
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Understanding and compliance with safety rules and practices as well as posted work rules and procedures;
- Positive outlook with a high-energy personality;
- Ability to exercise good judgment and critical thinking;
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
