Senior Principal Systems Engineer Job Description Template

Responsibilities:
- Performs customer requirements analysis, develops system requirements and defines allocations to lower levels (subsystem, elements and components);
- Works on advanced architectures that may result in new business for the company;

Requirements:
- Creative thinker;
- Excellent use and understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories;
- Some travel may be required;
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent ability to clearly report information relevant to sound systems engineering design;
- DoD Secret security clearance required;
- Substantial ability to clearly report information relevant to sound systems engineering design;
- Substantial use, understanding and tailoring of systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories;
- Seasoned Engineer; has held a Senior or Principal title;
- Someone with the ability to not only see the big picture, but also be able to zoom in on different portions of the system;
- Frequently contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas;
- Major contributor to the achievement of business objectives;
- Substantial proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
- Substantial proficiency with requirements management, system design & system modeling tools.
