Senior Quality Inspector Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Quality Inspector to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Must have excellent writing skills;
- Reviews all internal and customer rejections;
- Handles customer quality audits (internal as well as customer and supplier);
- Maintains calibration system;
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing with customers and fellow employees;
- Coordinates with other departments on quality problems;
- Ability to review, and act on non-conformances and create systems and tools to prevent recurrences;
- Perform First Article inspections, fully competent of AS9100 and AS9102 procedures;
- Internal audits;
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished components, sub-assemblies, and products;
- Solid knowledge of SPC concepts and analysis;
- Calibration system;
- Solid knowledge of G D & T;
- Handles corrective action requests (CAR) from customers and vendors.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical parts and assembly drawings;
- Dimensional inspection — using CMM, and precision measuring tools;
- Proficiency with Mitutoyo CMM a MUST;
- Prior Quality Assurance/Inspection experience AS 9100 Quality Management Systems.
