Waste Water Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Waste Water Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support in the lab;
- Willingness to take on all additional responsibilities that are assigned;
- Monitoring the discharge of all equipment used for the testing and treatment of industrial wastewater;
- Perform wastewater in-house testing and sample preparation for outside testing;
- Ensuring the quality of the industrial wastewater and sludge leaving the facility meet EPA/ADEM standards;
- Will be exposed to weather condidtions and unpleasant odors.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Knowledge of the Federal Clean Water Act and Federal Drinking Water Act is a plus;
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment;
- Competence in basic mathematics, chemistry and biology;
- Computer experience to include word, excel, powerpoint, gage pro and quality systems software;
- Must be able to lift 50lbs;
- Must be able to stand, lift and bend for an 8 to 12-hour shift.
